Healthy Heroes
Childhood Obesity is a growing problem in PCA wants to motivate elementary school-aged children to eat healthier diets and exercise more. Through our Healthy Heroes program, PCA will provide education and incentives to encourage healthy habits in children aged 6-12. If you are a school principle or school nurse, please take our Healthy Heros survey “Get Caught Red Banded” Kids earn a red wristband for completing nutritional lessons at school and at least 20 hours of approved physical activity in a month. Kids will be provided with “Passports” to be signed by teachers and parents verifying participation. Healthy Heroes is also planning additional programs in more schools across the state, so check back frequently for updates. If you are interested in a program at your school, please contact us!
